Nikki James

Nikki joined Chambers as a pupil in September 2021. She completed her pupillage and became a Tenant of Holborn Chambers in September 2022. Nikki’s criminal law practice consists of both prosecution and defence. She is regularly instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service in the Magistrates and Youth Courts and has established excellent relationships with many instructing solicitors. Nikki is also instructed by the Probation service for both individual breach cases and breach lists in the Crown Court.

Nikki’s Background


Nikki is member of Inner Temple and was called to the Bar as a Barrister in 2021 having completed the BPTC at The University of Law. Her previous career was as an Aircraft Propulsion Mechanic in the RAF. Although Nikki has had previous experience in Employment Tribunals, notably a successful case against the RAF Museum in 2018, she now practices solely in Criminal Law, accepting work for both Prosecution and Defence in both Magistrates and Crown Courts.
